Judith Friedman
is an instructor and advocate for keeping the written word alive. She spent much of her career as a freelance writer, crafting artist profiles for national publications. Judy explores themes of nature and folklore, with emphasis on writing short. Her poetry and prose appear in Highland Park’s East on Central and Highland Park Poetry anthologies, including a 2021 Pushcart Prize nomination and a first-place Prime 53 award in the 2024 Poetry Challenge.
