René Parks
a poet, educator, and visual artist focused on themes central to ecofeminism, healing with nature, and folk stories. She received a BA and MA in English from Governors State University and an MFA in poetry from Lindenwood University and is the author of two chapbooks, Holistic Rewilding and Folk Magic. She is serving as the inaugural Poet Laureate for Ottawa, Illinois.
