Janice Doppler
spent her writing energy on grant proposals and curriculum development during her career as a teacher and school administrator. Retiring enabled Janice to develop her creative self through haiku and haibun. Janice’s debut collection, Stardust, was published in 2021. She placed second in the Porad Haiku Award in 2021 and 2022. Her dual interests in Chinese philosophy and haiku led to essays on zōka in Frogpond in the winters of 2023 and 2024.
